stop 46: Hope Cemetery
Hope Cemetery – A Work of Art
Located on a small hillside in Barre, VT, the "Granite Capital of the World", the Hope Cemetery stands as a magnificent tribute to the stone cutters and artisans peacefully interred amongst their very own creations. Entering the front gate, you will pass by two granite sentries, forever watchful over their abode. From the moment you arrive you’ll notice this is no typical resting place for loved ones gone by. It is truly a gallery of splendid artwork in the most unusual of settings.

stop 44: the barn project
As I often do, i stopped along the side of a road in Vermont intending to snap
a few pictures of a stream. As i walked a little further down by a
broken down bridge, I looked across and saw this barn set against
the perfect background and foreground.
stop 43: leaf peeping in VT
My most favorite season is fall - when the leaves turn into different colors before they finally
succumb to gravity and slowly float down to the ground.
In Vermont, the foliage of green, red, yellow & orange is nothing but majestic.
Note: the term "leaf peeper" is a term used by New Englanders in reference to
visitors during the foliage season.
